Elizabeth C. Axford and Bridget Brigitte McDonald had a Recording Session on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Piano Press Studio in Del Mar, CA. They recorded an original piano composition by Bridget using a Yamaha YPG-635 portable grand digital piano, Garageband, and Logic. After the session, Liz treated Bridget and her husband JP to her belated birthday dinner at Smashburger in the Del Mar Plaza. Liz forgot she had a grocery delivery coming from Von's at 7pm. They ended up flagging down the delivery truck on the street and running back to her apartment to meet the delivery man!

Piano Press Studio Student Mihika Nadig participated in the 2012-2013 Science Olympiad with Team Phoenix from the Carmel Valley Middle School 8th Grade Class. She and her team partner participated in the "Sounds of Music" Competition where they made their own instruments - a xylophone and a guitar - and performed "Largo" and "Skip to My Lou" arranged by Elizabeth C. Axford. The regional event took place on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Rancho Bernardo High School in Rancho Bernardo, CA.
