Song Sheets to Software Workshop

Ms. Axford has prepared a workshop based on the material in Song Sheets to Software - A Guide to Print Music, Software, Instructional Media, and Web Sites for Musicians. She shows examples of historical print music covers as well as software and web sites listed in the book, using a computer and large screen. The presentation includes hands-on software demonstrations and Internet surfing. The session concludes with a discussion and questions from the audience. Traditional World Music Influences in Contemporary Solo Piano Literature Workshop

Ms. Axford has prepared a workshop based on the material in Traditional World Music Influences in Contemporary Solo Piano Literature. She shows examples of traditional music and piano music from each world music region listed in the book, including scores, recordings, and a hand-out for each. The presentation also includes 20-minute videos for six of the regions listed, including the Middle East, Africa, India, Japan, Latin America, and Russia.
